Friends

today we got our first real winter storm of the year. i was stuck on a city bus for nearly three hours after having taught for an hour and a half and i tried to distract myself from the grumpiness by thinking of my favourite songs to listen to during a winter storm. so here you have it! 19 songs. (it's also partly an "i miss my lover" mix but it's not too obvious, i don't think.) let me know what you think! any songs that are missing? i really wanted to put hayden's bass song on it but i couldn't find a decent .mp3 of it.

working on a bunch of "best of" lists for 2009, even a few for the decade. so far the only one i've finished is "the best movies of the 00's you haven't seen." clearly i am better at this when i limit my choices... my shortlist for the best albums of the 00's is in the hundreds... eesh.

also, i realized just now i totally forgot about my shop's 1 year anniversary. this fall has been a bit hectic, and to be honest the past 6 months have been slow and trying with my relationship with etsy, so i guess it just slipped my mind. but! overall it's a great experience, and i love selling lovely wares to people all over the world. i've sent things as far as the great north (nunavut) and all the way to australia. i really appreciate every customer and everyone who has given me advice (i'm lookin' at you, scarletgeyron and porcygloworm) and hope to keep this little venture of mine going strong!
